Teachers at The Little School House promote learning by creating theme-based lesson plans to meet the individual needs of the children in their classrooms. They introduce developmentally appropriate materials and activities in Learning Centers. These Centers are hands-on areas and include music, science, math, creative art, writing, and dramatic play.
Our daily curriculum provides time for children to explore their feelings and use their imaginations. We encourage children to investigate their surroundings, solve problems and think independently.
Our students are encouraged to explore a variety of materials through play, make choices among several options according to their interests, and socialize with their friends.
Our days are balanced with outdoor play where children are engaged in physical activities that encourage large motor skills and socialization. Each of our three Little School House sites have beautiful playgrounds where children are free to learn and explore in a safe environment.
